Mengjie is a Ph.D. student in a joint program between the University of Birmingham and the Southern University of Science and Technology. Her research topic is deep learning-based multimodal medical image registration, with particular interests in generative models and foundation models. Prior to her doctoral studies, Mengjie earned her M.S. in Computer Science from ShanghaiTech University, where she focused on Fast Photoacoustic Reconstruction from Sparse Data, and also led a project on Crystalline Lens Nuclear Age Prediction. She completed her B.Eng. in Electronics and Information Engineering at Qingdao University, and won the national first prize in the China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling.
